Gardening With Littles!
Let’s Grow, grow, grow, some veggies for Earth Month!
My husband loves to garden which is absolutely perfect seeing as I love to eat! Being a vegetarian (occasionally pescatarian), I especially love to nosh on wonderfully colorful fresh vegetables straight from the garden. While I was searching for a unique Christmas gift idea for my hubby I came across hydroponic gardening kits such as the AeroGarden . I thought, “Wow what a spectacular idea!” This could be a great new indoor hobby to keep the winter blues at bay, something to brighten the home (fresh flowers), and provide yummy organic produce to boot. We ripped it right out of the box and got to work. It was so simple to set up and absolutely no green thumb required. We were amazed at how quickly the plants took off! It’s been so much fun watching the progress every few days. I loved the results so much that I purchased another garden and even convinced Jessica that she needed one in her home! If you’re looking for a fun way to keep the kiddos engaged while learning the benefits of sustainable living I highly recommend looking into a home garden. Now that spring is here you can even transplant to an outside garden and start a whole new fresh crop!
