Kids love to create handmade gifts and parents, grandparents and nannies
love to receive them! We put together a
list of fun and (relatively) easy DIYs-
some may need adult help, and some
little hands can do on their own!

30 Gifts Kids Can Create- We love these fun ideas from Parents magazine. Most of these are geared more toward older kids, but littles could definitely tackle most of them with adult (or bigger kid) help. Several of these use things around the house and are a great opportunity to teach about upcycling!

AR Workshop- AR has workshops all around the country. With the current restrictions in WA, the workshop is closed, but they have the most adorable DIY kits for you to take home. Check restrictions in your area and make a reservation or reserve your take home kit soon!

Java & Clay- Local to Gig Harbor, WA, we love this cozy coffee shop and paint your own pottery studio. While the studio is currently closed, they have created to go kits to pick up, borrow the tools you need, choose your colors, pottery piece and paint in the comfort of your own home. Once you have completed the painting your piece, bring it back to the studio and they fire it for you. Pick up your finished masterpiece once it’s done. Love!

All Fired Up- Local to Atlanta, this pottery studio is still open for in studio painting. Reservations are required, so call soon!

Crafty Christmas Ideas- Atlanta Parent has some fun, simple ideas that are great for younger kiddos. Cinnamon applesauce ornaments, anyone?!

Kids Craft Classes- Coursehorse has classes (virtual and in person) all around the county, for both kids and adults. Most classes use things you can source around your home. We love the lego building classes! Have a specific craft in mind? Type it into the keyword search and get to crafting!

SHOP Handmade D.C. - Currently offering outdoor and virtual classes, we love the classes offered at Shop Handmade D.C. Create beautiful handmade pieces that look quite professional!

Money Origami- Okay, when in doubt, give the gift of cash. Everyone loves cash! If you are planning to give your nanny and end of the year bonus, make it a little more fun by turning it into origami! The kids can help with the folding and voila, handmade gift from the kids!

We hope this list inspires you to get creative and get crafting!
