Is there a cost for nannies to work with your nanny agency? No! There is no charge for nannies to work with our agency, and if any agency ever tries to charge you and/or take a percentage of your earnings, don’t work with them! Agencies should never charge nannies.
How do your decide on your placement fees? We base our placement fees on what we deem to be competitive in each market. Our placement fee covers administration fees, consultation time with families, follow-up questions with families, background checks on candidates, scheduling interviews, and contract negotiation with childcare/household staff.
How do you find nannies? We have built strong relationships with each of our nannies and because of that, they help us build our “nanny pool” by referring other nannies and coming back to us for placement.
Once you place a nanny, does our relationship end? No! We are here to support you throughout your placement. We know the nanny/family relationship can be complex and we are happy to help navigate. We have had families call us two years after initial placement to ask how much of a raise to give their nanny when baby number two arrives. We are vested in each of our families and are always thrilled to hear about new additions and answer questions!
Do you offer Night Nurse placements? We have decided to leave this up to the pros! Birch Nannies has partnered with many wonderful agencies who specialize in night nurse/night nanny placements, and we are happy to offer referrals. We can also offer referrals to postpartum doulas, and help you determine when that is the best option.
